Let's call 'er done. You'll no doubt pick up one or two things, as did I, that still need finishing. Not least, the landing light! I lost the clear sprue so it'll have to be the punch set and some clear acetate. Humbrol enamel for the OD/NG, and exhaust stain. Might be a little on the brown side. I'll get it right on the next one. Duco auto enamel white for the markings. Mostly acrylic artist's paint for the panels washes and oils for filters here and there. Another moment that made me go 'Hmm...' was how much the post-shading and filters looked, then how much the flat coat subdued them. Point of note, don't be too concerned with this 'filter' technique, flat coat is a great leveller. I did have an adventurous bout with stains on the spinner but it looked too stark and I re-painted. Call me chicken. (But don't call me late for dinner.) All the bare metal effects were achieved with a silver ink pen. Dabbed n the ink then smeared it with a fingertip. Repeat as req'd until the right tone is achieved. Might have to be a bit bolder next time, the high-traffic areas still look underdone. A few firsts achieved, anyway. Hope you enjoy. Cheers Ross 'The General' McArthur

I really really like it, fabulous weathering and yet not overdone in my humble opinion.

Marvellous work general. I think you have done well with the weathering too. I'm learning a lot from the descriptions all you guys are posting as you build your wonderful models. Great inspirations all of them.
