Luther's post on Captains of the clouds got me thinking. I got given my Granddads service medals and badges last month, some of them were Canadian. Cap and BA wing, in mint condition too, I guess they were issued but never worn. They would have been replaced once he got to the UK with RAF and/or RNZAF badges. I also have his RAF BA wing and it is far from pristine.
Was this normal practice? Or am I guessing up the wrong tree?

Yup mate, thats me. Been looking through all the pics there. I'm trying to find reference to a commonwealth air training scheme museum that exists in Canada. It cropped up a while ago and had the possibility of training records. Have you seen this?

Post a comment to Ken on the wall, I'm pretty sure he has alot to do with all the Museums over there.There are a hell of alot of photos to go through!Do you know what base your Grandad trainned at? If so try and find the base in the photos.

No idea till he got to England. ALl I know is he trained in Canada, that's about it. I'll post and see. Thanks for your help.
