Top Gear Korea?
I thought Top Gear Australia and Top Gear USA were bad enough. When do we get a Top Gear NZ franchise?

Ok then..... The original version take new low powered mumsy cars and use them for their personality speed times around the track, similar to what the USA program do, but the aussies have gone with an old falcon ute complete with giant aerial on the front gurad or where ever.... what would a NZ show use. Can see some weird suggestions coming up.

Corrola is the biggest selling car in NZ I believe, but the Kingswood and Commodore must be close behind.
What's a trekka?
I reckon instead of a car they could do a jet sprint course, that's kiwi as.

Does Top Gear USA make anyone else cringe?

Totally, but it's a bit more watchable than all the incarnations of the Aussie one, where everything seems to revolve around Fords and Holdens...

That is true. The Aussie one is way worse.

Top Gear Korea? I thought Top Gear Australia and Top Gear USA were bad enough. When do we get a Top Gear NZ franchise? Any Top Gear spin-off is a lame money-making enterprise, and most are usually found out to be so shortly after episode 1 ;D Original is best, ignore the rest. Simple as that!

Top Gear must be one of the BBC's biggest selling franchises though. The original series has been going since the 1970's and sells all around the world. They have spin off shows in Australia, the USA, Germany, Korea and who knows where else. There is a long running magazine. There are many related books, DVD's and lots of memorabila. And the original is always a great watch and a good laugh. Even the olden day old Top gear when there were men in flat caps testing Rovers it was still a great show.

I owned one of them once, for about 10 minutes. Found out I had no brakes. I was on the harbour bridge at the time. Does Top Gear USA make anyone else cringe? Yes. Seen once, desperate to forget.

Does Top Gear USA make anyone else cringe? Top Gear UK makes me cringe these days. Too scripted, too contrived, all it needs now is a laugh track and it's descent from the glory days of a few years ago will be complete....
