After months and months of hounding the Australian Government to pay for RAAF Bomber Command vets to go to the opening of the Bomber Command Memorial it has finally payed off!.I know some of you from this forum have shown support by joining my group on facebook. minister.dva.gov.au/media_releases/2012/apr/va028.htm

And so they should! Unusual for the NZ Government to be showing up Australia in looking after its veterans!

If you had to Google Alf Garnett, then I suggest you go to Youtube and look him up. His shows are Till Death Us Do Part, and the sequel In Sickness and In Health. Really classic comedy.

What happens if you are veteran no 41? It is great news - but it seems hard to put a small no. on it. What are the numbers like, for numbers wanting to and well enough to go?

Except the're paying for 6! No more. That isn't what I get from reading the article. There is $3,000 per vet travelling privately - which is a significant subsidy, rather than 'paying for', but still more he 6.

There is no way the show will be on TV again full stop! It was pretty funny but so wrong in so many ways by today's uppity standards.
