I have just heard from a contact of mine from several years back, about several cockpits he has available for sale ex the UK. I met Richard Parr at an event called CockpitFest hosted by the Newark Air Museum annually in June and he is a good guy who has a passion for classic aircraft and has worked with museums, individuals, film companies and the like, to supply cockpits, entire aircraft and parts for them. The stumbling block is the exchange rate and freight, but hey, its about a third cheaper with the exchange rate, than when we imported the Canberra nose back in the mid 2000's. So anyone want to know what's on offer? ?? If there is interest I can upload pics and details over the weekend as I get time. It has always been an interest of mine to grow the cockpit collecting scene in New Zealand, and what's on offer would make mouth-watering exhibits, I can assure you. Speak up if you want to know more.

Ive often looked at CockpitFest as something we could replicate here, and if the worst came to pass I would scrap CBG and keep the cockpit for restoration.
Please let us know whats out there, and how much :-)

Sepecat Jaguar GR 1a Richard notes: SEPECAT Jaguar GR Mk1a. Code XX826 Ex 2 Squadron aircraft, we are mid completion of interior, we have 70% instruments for it and most importantly the MK93B seat, new HUD unit, control Joy stick, HOTAS throttle and exterior panels. Full completion/restoration can be done by ourselves .Asking price: 6500 gbp I will post further pictures of the Jag shortly. As you can see, its fairly serious money when you factor in the exchange rate and freight. It's not for everyone, but to anyone with the means to make it happen, there's some pretty tasty classic aviation on offer. Imagine the fun at airshows as people line up to drool over you Sepecat Jag cockpit?
