I bet there'll be lots of pics of people posing with the plastic Hispano,and the Brownings! While the mark 12 colts in the skyhawks looked totally different they used the same operating mechanism as the hispano. The major difference is that the Mk 12's had a pneumatic belt feed mechanism where as on the hispano it was clockwork.

And the mk12s heritage is obvious on close inspection , some of the recievers had the original AN-M2 (US Hispano) marking stamped out and the MK12 in place.the recievers were essentially the same. Love the smiley face in the drift sight opening..... Forumites could play spot the smiley face. There is more than one on the airframe. Winner could get a chocolate fish

BRRRRRRRRRRRR....that first photo looks rather cold! Notice the frost on top of the fuselage of the 1900. However, there are obviously a couple of warm spots just above the centre windscreen pillar. Something beneath the aircraft skin is producing heat.
