Hi there, I am off to Australia next week for an interview with British Aerospace Systems in Nowra. Flying to Sydney initially then travelling down to Nowra for a couple of days. Then back up to Sydney to see family then north to Mackay for a few days.
Wondering if anyone knows which museums are worth the trip as I am currently still a student, the whole trip is on a strict budget. Cheers!

Hi Ryand,There are a couple in the Sydney city, one of them is the Maritime museum in Darling Harbour that has a ex Navy ship and old submarine you can go on,and is also cheap as chips, next to that is the Sydney aquarium.I'm not sure if you meant aviation museums? If so there is Temora museum, tho it's in the middle of nowhere. The Australian war Memorial in Canberra (couple of hours from Sydney) is a good one that has the Lancaster ''G for George''. I live right next to the Sydney airport so if you need help planning your trip, feel free to ask.

The FAA museum at Nowra is a must. Another is the HARS hangars at Albion Park, which is on the way to Nowra.

Isn't Rose Bay in Sydney a good place to watch Beavers and other seaplanes?

Didn't know they landed in Rose Bay but it makes sense.Perfect spot for it.Thinking about it now I have seen a video,I think it was posted on the forum about planes landing in Rose Bay.Would be worth a visit as it's right next to Bondi beach.A bit up the road are old WWII bunkers.

Luther, Rose Bay is a good spot to spend a lazy afternoon watching the Beavers and a Cessna Caravan on floats.
I beleive that you may spot a different kind of beaver at Bondi....... ;D
