I thought this might be of interest to Skyhawk fans and to Don for his book (you probably know this already though).
From NZ Wings, May 1975 Skyhawk replacement delay A replacement A-4K Skyhawk for NZ6207 which crashed at Ohakea last October is now unlikely to be obtained for at least another 18 months. The RNZAF told WINGS it does not expect to receive financial approval for the purchase until the 1976-77 financial year, despite it having previously said a replacement aircraft had a high priority. The Air Force is negotiating to obtain a low-hour Skyhawk from the US Navy, probably an A-4F model.
Interesting eh? I guess they never got the funding, not till the RAN A-4G's came up.
