Until the Ardmore, weekend I'd not flown with Jetstar, and on the basis of one flight each way Wn-Ak-Wn I doubt if I'll ever do so again. The overall impression is one of poor and insufficient training of staff. The Pilot announcement at Wellington before take-off was delivered at such speed as to be largely unintelligible. On the return on Sunday, the flight was delayed over an hour, and various announcements made, none of which made sense! I wtched one Jetstar member deliver one such address and parts of it were lost due to her turning her head away from the mic. One flight, to Christchurch, was cancelled "due to late arrival of your aircraft", then we were moved from our boarding gate to another directly below!
Worst of all was all the bullshit they delivered when the real problem turned out to be they [Jetstar] had forgotten Sunday was Daylight Saving Day!
With Jetstar, you definitely get what you pay for.

I'm just at Chch international on my way back to Perth. When checking in the man asked if I had doctors clearance to fly....I said nah, I'm just a fat B'stard ha ha ha ha  |

Jeez...Thank heavens they don't fly into Hamilton yet! Hate to see what would happen when they asked that question to one of the, er, locals?
