Hi All
Was waiting to pull into traffic on Lincoln Road (near Burger King), West Auckland, when I spied an aircraft being towed on a flat bed trailer .
As it went by, I had an "O Boy" moment ;D ;D as I saw it was a Grumman Gosling/Widgon.
Only the fuselage and wing stubs were there, sans engines and sitting on it's main undercart.
It was white with royal/dark blue pin stripe down the length of fuselage, couldn't see any registration (that I could note).
Anyone on the forum know anything about this?
I was kicking myself that I didn't have a camera
Thanks/regards
Alan

The paintwork sounds like Vintage & Aquatic Airways livery so that would suggest it is ZK-AVM or ZK-CFA. I would guess that it was a stripped down AVM that had been taken away from Avspecs for some work. The last I heard of CFA is that it is still stored at Whitford. Is that still the case?
