Watched it hundreds of times as a kid as Mum taped it, and have the anniversary DVD. I love it.

Geez you guys, that movie has some of the best air to air cinematography ever shot, even if they didn't use real MiGs. Who cares if the script/lead actors/vulgar product placement/cheesy 80's soundtrack/jingoistic misogyny sucks? OK I must be the only Top Gun fan on this forum... ![:-X](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/lipssealed.png) Well, if you liked the cinematography and effects in Top Gun, then you'll probably like this too: And a couple of fan videos featuring clips from the movie:

Sorry to take this off topic again, that sequence from the mini series Piece of Cake where Ray Hanna takes MH434 under that bridge.
When I first saw this I thought it was fake, awesome! I am sure there are other versions of this about here is one I found.

Yes, me too and the Czech movie about their pilots flying Spits for the RAF. Dark Blue World? I have that on DVD somewhere. I have an interesting book on my kindle written by one of the Top Gun instructors who was at Top Gun when the movie was being made. He was the RIO in the back of the two seat 'mig', and he and one of the pilots helped with the technical dialogue. The book also covers his earlier career as a fleet RIO, it's not all about the making of the movie. It's called TOPGUN days, by Dave Baranek.

DBW is a great movie IMHO.
I only wish I hadn't sold my 3D TV otherwise I'd buy the new Blu-ray even quicker.
