I have to say, I can't get enough of this Staggerwing! It's beautiful! How many are in New Zealand at the moment? is it 2?

If I recall correctly this aircraft,when it first came out, was faster than the frontline fighters the USAAC of the day had. Bit embarrassing! ;D Yes its a lovely biplane alright, hope to see her up close one day!

Here is AMU on Lord Howe Island in 2008 when Nigel Arnot ferried her from NZ via Norfolk and Lord Howe Island to Oz. Note the bottle catching the oil so there was no stain on the island!

That clears up some uncertainty in my mind about AMU! I must visit Lord Howe Island - such a beautiful looking place.
