Several returning today from Opotiki , two Tigers flying in formation following the breakers waving to those on the beach . There was the Beaver and I think a Stampe also .

I was wondering what the Notam on Opotiki for extensive aircraft operations was about, now I know!

It was an awesome weekend.
I flew up from Mandeville with a friend of mine (3hrs 7min Mandeville - Opotiki, obviously not a Tiger Moth). Weather was great, the flying was great, and the competitions were excellent too.
Some very nice aircraft in attendance.

Okay, so break it to us.... in what? DH88?
That's a pretty sharp time.

No, not a DH product unfortunately. It was a tin machine, a very fast tin machine.
F1 EVO Rocket, I just finished the test flying and the Certificate of Airworthiness arrived at 3:30pm on Friday and we were airborne for Opotiki at 4:30pm.

Haha Tom. I think we'd all have heard about it if Ryan had the DH88 flying. ;D
