I have been contacted by Bent Jansen, a volunteer at the Classic Flyers Museum at Tauranga. He is on a team who are currently restoring the remains of the de Havilland Venom ZK-VNM/2 which crashed at Masterton two years ago, which will become a static display at the museum.
Bent has asked me to put out a request for photos of this aircraft that might help them in their cause to reconstruct it.
So if you have any photos of ZK-VNM/2 at any point in it's life here in NZ please post them here. Thanks.

The photos of the oops at Masterton are around Beagle, they're fairly graphic. As for the damage - I did see the aircraft (what was left of it) at Ohakea. The wheels more or less went up through the wing and backwards. The engine was ripped off the mounts, although not out of the fuse itself. That alone's a killer, but there were apparently wingspar issues. VNM/3 has a rather lovely paint scheme, but not as striking as VNM/2! Owner is now circuit bashing at OH fairly regularly, and doing a nice job too. VNM/2 top: Bottom: And front view:
