Hi everyone. Yesterday my work colleague comes into the office and hands me a newspaper clipping from the Hawkes Bay Herald and Tribune dated 1979 which had an article about his now late grandfather, FO Harry M Hawthorn of Hastings. It included a photo of which I found a copy online in the Australian War Memorial as he served with an Australian crew. We did a bit of googling and found he served two tours as a gunner on Bostons with No. 180 Squadron RAF. What we would like to know more about is his RNZAF service number and assignments during his wartime service. Any assistance gratefully received, and thanks to Dave for his help so far.
