I was asked if I wanted a trip from Te Kowhai to a private strip at Meremere to have a look at the Aeroprakt A22 Foxbat. There were two to look at... rather nice: There was a good turn out of 15 aircraft and a great variety of machines. Here are a few shots I took on the way there (with Noel Bailey in Jodel D18 ZK-JAC), around the field and on the way home. Thanks a heap Noel The Jodel is small so just the trusty Panasonic point 'n shoot - not the DSLR + good lens Pete The crew... Not the best WX... but who cares right? Wez's field. Noel's trusty Jodel. Over the river on the way home, we found a couple of stragglers Pete

He gave me a lift so it would not be polite for me to comment! It does however look like his helmet mated with a oversized baseball cap... with the "I'll look straight ahead for the shot" pose... A couple I forgot... Pete

STL is a cool wee aeroplane... looks butt ugly without floats (as ESY demonstrates) but put the amphibs on and it takes on a whole new dimension... Here it is (a few years ago now!) when a friend of mine owned it... we certainly got a few slideways glances from the other boaties on Karapiro when he rocked up to the beach with this!

Those floats look like a nice bit of kit. Bet they're not cheap
