I have a few copies of the WWII RNZAF produced foolscap sized magazine DUFFY'S GEN for trade as i have duplicates.
The 4 issues i have for trade are; No III 22nd December 1944 No IV 19th January 1945 No V 24th February 1945 No VI 5th June 1945 All have been stored flat, all with original staples, all complete with no missing pages and no writing to the pages. The 22nd Dec 44 dated issue has a little silver fish damage to the cover other than that i would grade excellent.
The issues i have are; No II, III, IV, V, VI. If anyone has the missing issues & would like a trade please let me know!!
Thanks in advance, Kerry.
PS. Is anyone holding copies of the Green Island produced CORAL DUST ?? I'd love to see a copy!!

What is actually in these Duffy's Gen newsleters? Is it news from home? War news? Local sports scores? Humour?
Not much really happened at Norfolk Island compared to the forward Pacific bases, so I wonder what they filled a newsletter with....

Mostly local chit chat, humour and "in" jokes about resident RNZAF personalities, the jokes wouldn't mean a lot to those who didn't know them. The only constant thread seems to be the "Norfolk Story" which tells the history of Norfolk Island from convict times. For content Low Blower, Octopus 8 and Corsair Courier are miles better but then again these were forward base newspapers.
