Great shots there, Les. I really love that last shot of the Seasprite approaching Rangitoto. Thanks for posting them.

Les, those are really great photos. Like Craig, I enjoyed the Rangitoto one, and also the first one looking at the back of number one. Great stuff.

Thanks for posting those excellent photographs Les. I love that first one, but they're all really neat. Were they taken by you or an official photographer?

Thanks too, that first shot is the first pic I've seen of them carrying (what appears to be) a Maverik. Are they fitted to carry one on each side or just the one? (Ok this might be a stupid question, but I will ask it)!

The photos weren't taken by me, the second one is RNZAF official, the rest were taken by various Sqn aircrew would be my guess.
Yes, the Sprite is capable of carrying a Maverick on either side, or both at once. The one pictured is a training round only which is the norm. They did do a live firing years ago in the US to stores clear the weapon and there were rumours of another one soon maybe, will have to wait and see on that I think.
There are more photos I'll post later.
Les.

Yeah, but one good thing about the Australian ones is they've got really low hours on them.

Awesome photos ;D ;D ;D Thanks for sharing, obviously the recue shot was only very recent judging by the state of the grass on the airfield
