I saw this on another forum I visit; I thought it might be of interest. Unfortunately it's a rather poor attempt at photoshopping an existing image:

Shut your cake hole, I did do that, ages ago, and it has been stolen from this very forum. It used to be in my signature for a while. Where did you find it? I did it all in about an hour or less for a laugh to see what reaction I'd get here. it got a fair bit at the time.

The fact that this image is now 'doing the rounds' and has apparently now acquired a 'life of its own' is fascinating. The unfortunate thing is that with time (after all those involved have died-off), it will probably be accepted as a genuine example of an RNZAF Dauntless. As such it will certainly make any future historian's job extremely difficult. Historians' beware - photoshop can alter ANYTHING...

No, but it's such a crap photoshopping. Maybe I should submit it to Snopes now?

Would it be much different from that photo on another thread of a group of people flying a giant dragon fly over Auckland in the 1900s? photoshop of its day!

I am convinced, I am sure RNZAF aircraft operated off a carrier in the Pacific somewhere. I did see a pic somewhere. Midway ?

I've discovered a photo of RNZAF Dauntlesses being catapulted from the deck of the USS Enterprise in here...

It maybe interesting to rap the photo onto a flightsim model, the Vertigo Studious Dauntless be a good choice .
