Just been watching aircraft at various places around the world on flight tracker 24. I was listening to Danny Watson on ZB talkback today and someone mentioned a very cool site but as I was driving I couldn't write it down then the next person rang up talking about flight tracker 24. I have noticed an A380 landing at a slower speed than a A320 anyone one use some cool sites that are even better than flighttracker. I am refreshing every 30 minutes as not downloaded etc yet

I have used FT-24 myself watching family travel to Europe, unique generated 3D view from the cockpit with it too. Around NZ I use Flight Aware... flightaware.com/live/airport/NZHN where you can input a flight name, a plane name - Tail number, Airport, history of flights or plane travels or airport Arrivals/Departures. Based out of US...

Flightradar24 is what I use, I paid for the App on my iPad, but it does give useful info, particularly handy when I am down-route and the flight dispatcher tells porky pies about how late the flight is and how we need to rush rush rush…."aha…it arrived 10 minutes early..SEE!"

went onto the site last night to check out conditions at wgt regards the "sea fog " and clicked on a small plane by paraparaumu and it turned out to be an air force B200, then 20 seconds later it just disappeared. I thought surely it hasn't crashed, as it was going along at 220 knots and that's just a wee tad too fast to safely land. also some AT7's going overhead aren't picked up on screen.

One i think uses ADS-B and thats why only certain aircraft show up such as the 72-600's and A320's etc.
