Was there a time period confirmed or just a loose period where they would look at getting an extra 3 A109's.
Would they be maybe looking at trying to get them included in the wider pilot training project, or is this a next decade purchase.

Fist time they parked one up in my hangar, I wondered who'd left their model helicopter behind.
Aren't the most favourite airframe to work on? Seriously? Some people obviously need a posting to 6 SQN, so they can appreciate when they are well off.

I try to find more info on evaluation of the Bell 47 replacement. Besides the winner, the A.109LUH what other types have been looked at and evaluated? Any pictures of that available? Thanks

The ex-US Coast Guard Mako's are sitting in storage in Philadelphia doing nothing. One is used as a test mule at the factory, the others are stored in a warehouse. They are run regularly. Why doesn't the RNZAF buy those? They're aren't new but could easily be upgraded and used for training/observation. I must admit I am surprised that the RNZAF has never pushed for attack helicopters. With all the Army co-op stuff that goes on, you'd think that protecting the Army with attack helo's would be a prioirty. A-129 Mangusta is small, nimble, cheap and packs a punch. And still in production.
