That man oughta be a JET pilot. He has too much talent for helos. What an outstanding job. Great work and very funny. ;D I would have a problem a teeny bit with one millisecond cutaway at the end but what the heck. I hope this video gets lots of airtime!

Very clever, they've done a great job!
What I can't figure out is why it was done 6 years after the disbandment? After some internet searching, I found out that guy was on PTS Airtrainers at the end of 2001. Can't see how he was ever involved in the real knuck vs 3 Sqn banter war.... A bit one-sided when there's no-one around to get a reply together.
3 Sqn's bar song was/is? Khe San by Cold Chisel. So in reply, we had the alternate lyrics. Visiting crews at each other's bars would always have a big night involved in taking the piss out of the other. Great days!
Notwithstanding, a very clever video!!

What a great video, the guy has the steely eyed killers down perfectly. There are women on that squadron!!! A very different air force to the one I was in and that is not a bad thing.

Obviously the guys that made this weren't around in 1999 the first time 3 Sqn deployed to East Timor... a time when jet pilots (granted they were RAAF) flew armed CAP overhead to keep the bad guys away. The rotor heads and transport guys were very pleased to have them there by all accounts and wouldn't have been able to do deploy without them Amazing how some people have such short memories ;D Yes a great video, but these guys need to remember - now they are on their own! Also bit odd that they are still taking the piss out of something that has been gone for over 6 years? Is there no one else left in the RNZAF to take the piss out of these days??

That's very funny, I hope that gets plenty of airtime.
Because there have always been A4s operating on operations alongside 3 sqn in places like Sinai, Bougainville, Timor, Solomons et al. Oh no, that's right, there hasn't. Guess they have done ok on their own for 40 odd years.

Great video!
I remember many a drunken night with 3 Squadron Detachment aircrew singing Khe Sahn, Barnsey. I'd like to hear the alternate words you guys had for it.

I've been looking for the words to the poem 'You just fly the jet" if anyone out there has it. Les.
