In December I flew AKLPPQ on Xmas eve and back three days later both in the jump seat of the Q300. Here's a few pictures. Xmas eve and a NOTHAM was posted in the cockpit regardilow flying Reindeer, a model supplied for a quick recognition Tinsel encountered over the coast First Officer correctly attired On course on time where is PPQ Here it is, nice to have GPS Off we go with a new team to AKL Hands free at FL 17.58 Waiuku and the Manukau Back home, a big runway for a small plane Thanks Team Next time I might try AKL - PPO

Cool, not often you can get into the cockpit these days. Long story which probably nobody wants to hear but about 10 years ago I was fortunate enough to fly out of Queenstown in the jump seat of an ATR72. For a non-pilot it's got to be the best seat in the plane!

I was really lucky to do a jump seat ride in the FlyDC3 Dakota from Ardmore part way to Whitianga. It was superb! Thanks again to Geoff and Jessica and the team for that one!

I was really lucky to do a jump seat ride in the FlyDC3 Dakota from Ardmore part way to Whitianga. It was superb! Thanks again to Geoff and Jessica and the team for that one! I second that! I went for a ride in her in the late 90's, and once they found out it was my birthday and that I held a PPL, I got to 'fly' jump seat for most of the trip, including landing back at Ardmore. I was grinning for weeks after, and I still do when I think about it.
