The following is the proposed itinerary for the 2014 Tiger Moth Club Safari. Can anyone in the know add expected ETA and ETD times, particularly for Kaipara Flats and North Shore?

Cool trip by the looks. Sadly Cambridge misses out again.

Cool trip by the looks. Sadly Cambridge misses out again. That's 'cause there is more to see (aeroplane-wise) at Hood Aerodrome than at Cambridge, hence the Masterton overnight stop....

If all those Tigers flew in here there'd be plenty to see.

This is the Tiger Club we are talking about, ETD's and ETA's don't feature strongly.
The Kaipara Flats departure was supposed to quite early in the AM (8:30am ish) as the route and return to Slipper Island (with associated stop offs) was going to take a lot of time.

Went up to Kaipara this morning. Small but interesting turnout - photos to come.
Somewhat dampened by the news that the Bucker apparently crashed at Ardmore at the start of its participation.

One Bucker: "A small plane has crashed at Ardmore Airport. The aircraft crashed through a fence about 11am on Sunday, Fire Service's Northern Communications Centre shift manager Colin Underdown said. He said no one was trapped." home.nzcity.co.nz/news/article.aspx?id=182179

Being a Sunday morning, I figured to arrive at Kaipara Flats around mid-morning to wave the assembled Tiger Moth fleet away. On arriving (by road) at 10am, I found a locked gate and just one lonely Moth parked out. Oh dear, I thought, I'm too late, I've missed them. Well at least I can get one photo - DH82A Tiger Moth ZK-AUD However the McNairs then popped up and told me that they had been sitting around waiting for quite some time and that I was the first visitor they had seen. About 15 minutes later, we heard Gipsy Majorish sounds and ZK-BAH appeared overhead, circuited and landed. John Baynes had quite a long trip up from his home base at Gore, taking 8 hours to travel from Rangiora to Auckland the previous day. Just as well BAH has a long-range tank fitted. His wife is apparently less keen on long-distance Tiger trips, but enjoys the social side of Moth life. Soon after this excitement had died down, two more Tigers appeared overhead. These were ZK-BEC carrying the Edwards clan and ZK-BAL from the Gisborne syndicate Apparently we were then awaiting a contingent who were due to fly over directly from Ardmore. This included the Warbirds Beaver, which was to carry excess baggage and surplus family members, and the Bucker. While we waited, Jim Schmidt arrived (by road) and after some discussion, decided to top up the fuel in his Moth ZK-CCQ. Although he was not intending to catch up with the tour until the following day, refuelling a Tiger is much easier if you have groundcrew. As there was then no sign of the Ardmore arrivals, telephone calls were made and we learned of the Bucker accident at Ardmore. That put a bit of a dampener on things. The McNairs, who were not intending to participate in the Safari anyway, then decided to return to home base John Baynes realized that he was probably going to be the only participant to do the North Cape leg, so he departed to the north ZK-CCQ was returned to the hangar and that left the crews of BAL and BEC to contemplate their next move. As I departed there seemed to be a consensus that they would head directly to Coromandel airfield for a late lunch and then on to Slipper Island. So, a bit less than what I was expecting, but an interesting morning nethertheless.
