Hi everyone, I am shortly to move house and I have decided to rationalise my model aircraft collection. Whilst I will be keeping my RNZAF aircraft, I have decided to dispose of other models, which are mainly of 1940s - 1950s era. There is a nice collection of early German jets, and also some liaison types. I have to admit that the quality of build is variable - I've had some of these models for over 25 years, during which my build techniques have changed! They are also currently covered in dust, but I can clean them up if there is interest. some also have minor damage. Full list is below:
Ford Trimotor, DH Comet Racer, Boeing 247, Dornier DO24, Bell P39, Hawker Hurricane (x2), Tempest, Spitfire IX, Blenheim I, FW190, HE111, JU88, ME108, ME109G, ME110, ME163, ME262, JU87 Stuka, Fiesler Storch, V1 flying Bomb, Arado Blitz, Henschel HS123, HE162, MiG3, La9, Seafire III, Sea Fury, Wildcat, Hellcat, Lysander, Provost, Lockheed U2, Boeing B17, B29, Convair B36 (A huge model)
Basically, I'm giving these away as I will struggle to throw them in the skip. If you want any, let me know - they are as is, where is so will need to be collected from Cambridge. send me a PM if interested. I need to move in about 2 weeks so I need them gone ASAP.

Not sure where I would put them, but I would like the Tempest and the Sea Fury. I have workmates living in or passing through Cambridge every day. Thanks Bruce.

Bruce:
Much in all that I would love to take some of the models off your hands (the Sea Fury especially) , I have no space available. HOWEVER, might I suggest that you contact the Waikato Branch of the International Plastic Modellers Society (IPMS) as a means of disposal? About five years ago I gave the majority of my aircraft collection to them, as it seemed a waste to scrap them. The contact I had was a ('Dave?) Shepherd, who was working for Aeropsace at Rukuhia at the time. No idea if he is still involved though. So, with that in mind, and to obtain a contact Ph. No. for IPMS Waikato, I would suggest that you 'phone t Frankton Model Shop (07)827-5292. and ask if they still have the IPMS Waikato ph. number. Hopefully, they will still have his details, or, if not, will perhaps be able to direct you towards the current administration.
Hope that this helps - scrapping is never a nice solution.

That would be Dave Roberts who works at PAC. Or go to Gary Fowkes who runs Kiwimodeller forum, he's their club president.
