I wonder if anyone has brief biographical details (including outline of military service) for the following World War 2 pilots born in New Zealand.
Gibson, T. P.; Wing Commander, DFC, born Christchurch 1913.
McIntyre, Athol Gordon; Squadron Leader, AFC, born ? 1918, died 2012.
Thanks in anticipation!

The Operations Record Book for 488(NZ) Squadron shows that McIntyre spent some time with the Squadron in late 1942 / early 1943 as follows:
1) Attached to the Squadron with his Nav/Rad Sgt Tozer on 16/11/42 2) Attached to "21 S. of T.T" (any ideas?) for an Engine Handling Course on 10/01/43 3) Made up to Acting Squadron Leader on 15/02/43 as Flight Commander for the Squadron 4) Attached to Rolls Royce in Derby for an Engine handling Course between 08/03/43 and 19/03/43 5) Detached from 488 Squadron and posted to RAF Middle Wallop between 23/03/43 and 26/03/43 6) Sent to Rolls Royce Engine Works as an Instructor on 24/04/43 (By which time he was once again referred to as F/Lt)
I hope this helps?

"2) Attached to "21 S. of T.T" (any ideas?) for an Engine Handling Course on 10/01/43"
This would be No. 21 School of Technical Training at Burtonwood.
