A fitting tribute, strange my mind is not that far away from deeds what these people did almost every day, Wigram Airforce Museum would be the more fitting place with a following and fully detailed description , logbooks, details and crews.

Les was quoted in the article as saying he is thinking The Air Force Museum or Te Papa. Let's hope it is the first option. Te Papa isn't great for war objects.

It's not for nothing that it's known-as 'Disneyland' or 'Disneypapa'; History as the (current) Director wants it to be portrayed, not as it actually was.
As a resource base for historical-research it is not one of the better-ones (and in some areas is appallingly-bad).
Line others, I hope that Les Munro's logbooks etc go to Wigram; at least there they would be respected and 'understood'. At Te Papa, that's probably somewhat less likely...
