I flew on an Air NZ Boeing 737 last Wednesday (from Wellington to Auckland).
I also flew on one at the start of Queen's Birthday weekend (from Wellington to Christchurch).
Every time I board an Air NZ Boeing 737 these days, I wonder if it will be the last time.

In several weeks time, we will have had Boeing 737s flying in NZ skies (with NZ registration) for 46 years!
I can remember landing at Wellington in December 1974 in an Air NZ DC-8, with most of the passengers on the flight being Aussies, and as we taxied in, a NAC Boeing 737 took off. A few of the Aussies sitting near me looked rather incredulous, and I heard a couple of comments, "what the hell is that short, stumpy looking airliner?" The smallest Boeings in Australia then were Boeing 727s.

Yep, plenty of Scarebus flying around. I like the paint job on their new ones and the sharklets look rather interesting and unique on a 320. Will be a shame to see the old girls go if they do.
