Can anyone confirm a recent application has been made to put Vincent aviation NZ into receivership ? Heard that a notice was published in the Dominion Post paper recently to this effect ?.

Nothing as yet published in the Herald.
Anyone can apply to the courts to put any company in receivership. However, the applicant must then wait for a hearing, and at that hearing prove their case.
Of course, the Directors of any company may appoint a Receiver when/if they see fit, without such a hearing. Banks, suppliers or other such 'holders of paper' may also have the power to appoint a Receiver under agreements they may hold.
I think we should also stress that no-one here has any knowledge that is not available to the general public about the finances of this particular company, and that no one should act on the basis of this thread.

There is an article by Dave Burgess on page A8 of yesterday's (Saturday's) Dominion Post newspaper titled “Airline's woes spring from Aussie subsidiary”, but the article doesn't appear to be anywhere on the STUFF website, nor can I locate it anywhere online using Google to search for news articles with that title, or about Vincent Aviation.
However, reading the article in the print edition of the newspaper, things don't look good for Vincent Aviation. It would appear that creditors of the Australian subsidiary are behind the application to the NZ High Court to liquidate the parent Vincent Aviation company.

Please don't speculate on this unless something verifiable actually happens.

The staff would be able to fill you in. It sounds like the owner of the 146 is the originator of the court action. Sadly, this rumour has wheels

Well....something verifiable happened when the thread was first posted (following that first article in The Dominion Post almost a week ago) after an application to the court to place the company in receivership on Friday last week. Then, there was the article in the Wairarapa Times-Age during the week. And now the latest news article about something verifiable happening in the court. So are we now allowed to talk about it?

It was not the issue of the receivership that was concerning moderators Bruce, it was comments about an individual that were potentially open to legal question so those comments were removed.

I obviously missed something Dave.
All I saw when I first opened the thread was the original post, then Peter's post, then I posted the third post to the thread.
Presumably the stuff you are talking about got posted, then deleted before I first opened the thread.
Hence why I was wondering what all the fuss was about when it was already being reported on in the news media. In fact, it was one of the first things I noticed in last Saturday's Dominion Post when I quickly skimmed through the pages before reading the paper properly.

Sorry to hear of Vincents demise, having been through that myself I feel for the staff who have been left high and dry, no doubt they'll be gutted. Does anyone know who will be taking over the lifeflight air ambulance contract?

Hey guys lets not write off Vincents yet I am told their NZ operations are viable. It is not unusal for a receiver/manager to keep the company trading . and I hope that happens .
