Baz, You'll be pleased to know that the first pic I took in the UK at Old Sarum was an Auster that just dropped in for some fuel in the brilliant sunshine. After I took it I thought of you and what you might say.
The Temora line-up is being finalised as we speak and there are only 43 days to go. Looking fwd to seeing the Kiwi contingent again. Seems like an eternity since I was over there so this time I get to see you on my home turf! Dave, make sure you have plenty of batteries for your recorder.

Be interested to know which one it was as I have made a few contacts among the Auster owners over there. Thanks!

Young Dave, Just to let you know - and all those who have supported your trip across The Ditch for Warbirds Downunder - can you get me your mailing address for your Warbirds Media Pass and also the Warbirds Promotional pack? Guess this makes it all official , shipshape and Bristol fashion !

Baz, Checked the camera and that Auster was G-BVGT Thanks mate. Not familiar with this one. A J1A according to the magic of Google. Don't wear your shutter button finger out too much now, there might be more iconic aircraft than Austers about (that's the rumour lol)

Great list. Why does the RAAF have a hot air balloon? Is this for publicity purposes only? Or is there an operational capability to it? Got to do something useful with all that stuff that comes out of Canberra!
