Can anyone confirm that a Learjet is currently in residence at Mangere, and, if so, provide more details?
Thanks.

I peeked in the hangar at Ardmore a couple of weeks ago and the Learjet XVL had a whole stack of panels off and looked like it was undergoing a major check. Might be a while before we see it flying again.
The one seen at Mangere might be a different one.

Thanks folks, your replies are appreciated.
Unfortunately I didn't see the aircraft myself, BUT my informant (who is 'aviation aware') noticed it while driving past the airport, and commented that he thought it was in the 'business aircraft' park. As Learjets aren't exactly common in this part of the world, my post was the result.
Therefore, as it may not in fact be a Learjet, what other currently-visiting Bizjet would fit the description (and the location) and look very similar?
Thanks.

VH registered Lear 45's are pretty common here with Careflight and Jetcity operating the type on medivac operations around the region. The occasional US based 36 pops into the region now and then operated by the Phoenix Air Group.
The only NZ based Lear is the 35A ZK-XVL languishing at Ardmore as described by Hardyakka.

Air Center One at Auckland have all sorts of biz jets shuffling through. It may just been parked there for a few days of waiting and an assumption was made that it was staying permanently. I've seen Lears, Challengers, Gulfstreams, Falcons and all sorts of juicy hardware parked there in the past year.
