Greetings fellow Forumites. As I mentioned on another thread i reckon a thread with a photo of each member (possibly with an aviation related object in the background). I think Dave would be a contender of a "Top Selfie" with the photo taken of him sitting in the TR9 Spitfire! Anyway I'll kick it off (Note I restrained myself and didn't have anything Auster related in the background!): Taken in 2012 a present for my 50th Birthday was a flight in DC3 ZK-AMY

Well, I'm hardly associated with aviation anymore, except for the fact that I jump on a plane and fly approx 1600km to work each week. No frequent fliers points either! So heres me with my work vehicles, and in comparison one of the diggers at work.

Baz missed the Auster opportunity but I think this has to be one of my first Piper pics. I can't recall any before this one.

Hi Baz, yeah I'm on an iron ore site in the middle of the Pilbara called Yandi. Its about 2 1/2 hours drive to Newman and about the same distance to Port Hedland. As with most sites in the area it has its own airport.

Or a rather terrible selfie with my little avian mate last week (NZ Kaka at Hamilton Zoo)

You should move to Wellington, Dave. You don't need to go to a zoo to see Kaka there. Friends of mine living in the suburb of Northland have Kaka prancing around on the table on their deck right outside the lounge when they get up in the morning. Kaka are actually nesting in the trees up the back of their place.

Here's a selfie of me. It's about ten years old, but it was the only one I could find in a hurry with me plus an aeroplane in the same photograph.... Take note of the Warbirds Over Wanaka jacket....

My best aviation related selfie ever. Taken 20 years ago, at the top of a loop over RNZAF Base Wigram. I don't think I'll ever top that.
