Looking for people who know George Jaunzemis, who was in the RNZAF from 1961 to 1988.
Friends and co-workers of him, who are happy to share their stories for a documentary.

I knew George from my time at Wigram and the Avenger restoration. He was a fantastic source of knowledge and experience. I'm sure others will know more about him than I do, but am willing to contribute what very little I know.

There are a few people here on the forum who both worked with and were friends with George. My brother (Baz62) and I were volunteers with the team of guys who helped paint stripping the TBF Avenger NZ2504, under George's supervision, after its delivery to the Museum from Te Rapa. We then went on to continue with our regular Sunday afternoon visits to the museum. I think that both of us would have some memories to share, along with photos. Some on this thread : rnzaf.proboards.com/thread/8676/photos-rnzaf-museum-daysBaz also has digital video copies of Super 8 movies that he took back in the day. If I recall correctly, one of the videos depicts the folding of the Bristol Freighter's tail. Baz - if you're reading this, perhaps you could upload the videos to You Tube and share them with our fellow forum members?

Yep I'll put it on my to do list. Had a chat with Stefanie about George a few days ago (she is based in London), very good that George's story will be told to a wider audience.

As you're on holiday right now, put it at the top of your list and get them uploaded in time to post to the forum as a Xmas pressie for everyone. ;-)

You may regret this young Kenneth as there is some fine footage of you in it! Stay tuned folks as this is rare footage from 1982 at Wigram! (amongst other places!

I've also had contact with Stefanie last week and recounted my initial memories of George as well. I thought putting a comment on the thread again would help make it visible to any of George's friends/workmates who may have missed seeing the thread due to the manic pre Christmas and new year holiday period.
