Must pass this on to a young Auster owner up in Nelson. He's a CPL and during our chat over Easter he mentioned how he would like to move up to Warbirds one day. I mentioned tail dragger time in the Auster will help get the skill level up before stepping into something like a Harvard. No Spitfire owner would look twice at him with Cub/Auster/etc time in his logbook but a Harvard would be a good start! Too earlier to consider yet but he can file it away when he's ready and another one comes up.

Hello, the share on trademe is mine and has been available for some time (and still is). I have had some interest about it however nothing serious yet even with over 100 people in the watchlist!. baz62 is quite correct about the tail wheel time which is needed to fly a Harvard. Pretty sure I know who your young CPL with the Auster is here in Nelson but whilst he is keen to fly war birds I think it will be a while yet for him. My share is actually well under the actual value and while it appears an expensive beast to fly it is usually the sort of aircraft you go for a roll around the sky in then put it away for a few weeks. Harvard 078 is a well run syndicate, financially secure and has a great group of pilots. Unfortunately for me because of work rosters I don't get to fly it too often, which is why I'm going to let it go. Anyone interested please PM me or mail through the trademe auction Cheers Crewdog
