A major loss. Such a real talent across genres, and he seemed such a gentleman, too. Awful news. And then, of course, I found this: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Christopher_Lee#Service_in_World_War_II"I was attached to the SAS from time to time but we are forbidden – former, present, or future – to discuss any specific operations. Let's just say I was in Special Forces and leave it at that. People can read in to that what they like." Acting-wise, this was news to me and I can't help but wonder how it would've been (snipped from Wikipedia): He turned down the role of Dr. Barry Rumack (finally played by Leslie Nielsen) in the 1980 disaster spoof Airplane!, which was made around the same time, a decision he later called "a big mistake."
