Some, well many, years ago I was out having a night drinking in a club in England. It was probably a nightclub in Nottingham I suspect. Anyway I met this young lady and she quite rightly managed to work out that I was not local, I guess the accent thing gave it away. The conversation went something like this,-
'You are not from around here ?'
"Umm, No. Where do you think I am from ?"
'China'
!!!!!
Well many years later and I am much more Asian now in that I can understand Bahasa well enough and have an idea of the geography having worked and holidayed up there.
My roots are still 3rd generation Kiwi all the same and that has not changed. For those that may know me I thought I had a pretty safe surname to boot.
Well I am now a little distressed and somewhat confused. Perhaps that young lass back in the UK was more perceptive than I realised.
We just had a session of throwing our names into the new game ' How Kiwi are YOU ?'
I got a score of less than 10%
Even worse, - chances are I am actually Chinese !
My Chinese/Malaysian flatmate outscored me, he has only been here 4 years.

If thats the ' How Kiwi are YOU ?' thats on facebook , then I tried it about 6 times ( with the same name of course ) and got totally different answers each time .Seems the results are somewhat random .

Yes, I did try it again afterwards and halved my score. I am now into single digit territory
