18 July 2015: At 0900-0903 today the very familiar sound of at least two Huey's was heard over the Cambridge area - seemingly headed towards Hamilton airport. Very low cloud and rain meant that that no visuals were possible (although it wasn't for want of trying). As it is not usual (now) to hear TWO Huey's, were they (ex?) RNZAF aircraft on a 'last flight' somewhere or...?
FR24 gave no clues merely indicating that two aircraft with 'no call sign' were in the area.
Ideas anyone?

I saw one of them, but from a distance couldnt make out a colour scheme. It seemed to be a "long fuselage" Huey, so that would make the Beck Helicopters examples unlikely...

Yesterday a single machine (UH type) flew over Te Kuiti on a northerly course around lunchtime. Just about half an hour ago the same aircraft flew over again on the reverse course (New Plymouth?)

We had a helicopter land here this morning across the road in the polo ground on Lamb Street. It's uncommon for helicopters to land there but it happens from time to time. It was before 8.30am and it was dark, gloomy and foggy out, so the quick look I had through the steamy window it looked like a squirrel. I heard the whocka sound later approximately 9.00am go over too, and assumed it was the Rescue Helicopter from Hamilton, which has gone over two days this week already.
If I'd realised it was Iroquois's I might have gone outside for a look.
I thought I heard one in the distance towards Rukuhia the other day too, but couldn't see it in the cloud. I wonder if the ex-RNZAF ones are being demonstrated to potential customers? We don't normally see civvie Huey's round here.
