Looks like a pretty good crosswind landing in the A380... somewhere on the net there is the footage of the prototype doing crosswind trials (in Iceland I think...) and the crabbing is even worse....
yep, media ignorance is enough to make you throw things at the tele sometimes....

I'm with you Baron, a pathetic excuse for journalism, it's becoming more and more frustrating.. It is like they don't even try to portray an accurate picture. Of course, if they did, then there would be no story - no story = no job...

I would have thought we all agree it looks like a very good landing. I don't see anything unusual about it and I would have thought the comments accompanying the clip would also be along those lines. I realise many are written by 12 year olds or stirrers at that though. I just wonder what made some journalist think there was a story in there. If aviation was run by people with the skills and attributes of some of these 'journalists' then even I would reconsider using air travel. That could be the story.... Aviation is run as a regulated and professional business. This landing is perhaps a good example of how well it all works. Some how we have a clueless so-and-so basically attempting to scare the travel public and potentially harm the market. There will be people that have never flown. There are people that are afraid of flying. Those people would probably believe we have some sort of drama and that some landings are scary or even dangerous. Surely the journalist have to be accountable and take responsibility for their actions. Would it hurt them to portray something in a positive light ? I am sure there must be some good news stories circulating, we are just being deprived the chance of hearing them. Who in their right minds would troll YouTube, Facebook and Twitter looking for 'NEWS' ? *** EDIT *** www.dailymail.co.uk/travel/travel_news/article-3248648/Watch-terrifying-moment-world-s-largest-passenger-plane-lurches-one-battles-high-winds-dramatic-landing.htmlOh, a cut and paste of the UK junk
