These always seem to be of interest whether its cars, trucks, planes or ships. Its a pity we don't have more. My favourites at Rukuhia, Woodbourne and Te Kuiti are gone.

Interesting pics. That last one is intriguing; the two front British Airways 744s look as if they've just been flown in, also note the Air NZ one looking very sad. Next to it is a former Cathay 742 with three windows on the top deck.

I think British Airways has the largest current operating fleet of pax 747's, getting a further life extension with another upgrade.

That last pick you don't need a time machine, just a whole lotta money, ...and space.

I wonder if that shot of the SBD was at Onehunga where the Teal boats were melted down.

Wow great photos Peter. That Corsair looks like it just needs a canopy some cowlings a bit of fabric on the rudder and she's fly! Obviously so recent after the end of the war they would be in fairly good nick. That Mitchell looks good too. and poor old NZ3540.

That Morotai shot is amazing, all those C-47's which you'd think would still have been useful postwar. I also see a Black Widow and several Mitchells and Havocs. What a find that would be if it was still all there.

Had a look on Google if I have the correct airstrip? I'd say the short answer would be "NO" But you might find little bits and pieces. :-(
