I have been working in Karratha in the Pilbara for the last 18 months supporting 2 BAe146s doing shuttles out to Barrow Island for the Chevron Gorgon LNG Project.
I have been flying spanner with the aircraft (18 minutes each way!) and Friday was the last of some 400 odd return trips since I started there. Filmed the approach into Barrow, bit hazy but good view of the main accomodation camp and the gas plant.

Hi Ox, is that with Cobham? We used to fly with them to BHP sites till about 12 months ago. A few colleagues from work are now on the island, but not sure how long for, the rosters are pretty harsh. Nice to see the camp from above, looks pretty big!

Yeah - with Cobham
Chevron are cutting back - about 2000 people off the Island by the end of the year - the Love Boat is going in December.

Flown into there a couple of times, always fun to look out the window and spot the large manta rays and sharks near the beaches.
