Would I be wrong in saying that I think I can remember a(probably more)SPANZ DC-3 at Taieri while I was with Rex Aviation? isc

Why do you need a hostie for a freight run? Re-positioning? Maybe it was a passenger flight going in and she's going back home?

The 2 DC3s shown above are in different liveries - they are not the same aircraft. The bottom photo with the crew at the doorway shows the aircraft in a much earlier livery than the photo at top. So I'd say the one with the crew in it is a passenger aircraft not a freighter.
