Great stuff. Karola looks so worried in that cabin photo. The window memorial is very nice. Is that KiwiAir P750XL being used to transport passengers on the old Air New Zealand routes??

Wairoa had little on display but we came across UZ spraying, but he quickly disappeared. So out to Bridge Pa to meet some friends who own BRO and STM Bridge Pa from BRO Temata

Super photos Peter, really interesting thread.
It's definitely cool to see that Lockheed Lodestar photo with Jim Steel. One of No. 40 Squadron's Dakotas wore that same, or similar, nose art, but I'd never seen it on a C-60 before. I wonder which example that was.

Great photos Peter. Nice to see BRO again, remember seeing her when she was getting some work done at JEM Aviation at Omaka and her old fabric with "BRO" on it adorns the hangar wall (visible in photos showing the FW190 in the hangar.) That little robot tug is cool. Don't think I'd need one for the Auster but think of the fun hiding out of sight and moving your aeroplane when someone walks past!

I guess Dave its a log book search or hope that one of the forum ites has the gen. Baz , Stephanie said that the work was done in Omaka , and they got a very nice job. The robot tug is really for the Stearman as its a few pounds heavier than the Cub. I think Bruce said that it cost about $6K and that was the smallest model. You are right about out of sight , Bridge Pa is hosting a fly in at the end of January and it would be a hoot for an aircraft to line up on the runway and ask for clearance , without a pilot. By the way the last photo is not Hamilton if you hadn't guessed.

You can see the roadworks for the Taupiri section of the Waikato Expressway in the mid-top left of the photo. The confluence of the Waipa and Waikato rivers at Ngaruawahia is bottom right. If you zoomed in enough you'd see people on the Hakarimata lookout :-)
