ZK-EAB made (I've been advised) it's last commercial flight in NZ. EAB was flying over the weekend (13-14th) and from what was the original plan, it was going to be the last one flying. Apologies - and from my source who admits he got it wrong!!!

Eagle got seriously investigated by the parent company over the last couple of years. The choice of aircraft, the training culture, staff turnover and moral, and operating costs were all totally out of control. Beeches are always rotten things for maintenance costs but the amount of command candidates that failed upgrade checks was a reflection on nothing but the company training department. AirNZ auditors basically had to clean out the top to bring the outfit into line with the rest of the company.
In the end the same result could be achieved with the Dash's and ATR's so c'est la vie
