Sorry Ryan, my fault, I am hosting the photo for Richard till he gets his own Photobucket sorted. I just hadn't caught up to him in getting the photo online. It's up now.

That aircraft is a Fokker D.IV. It is not quite finished yet. I wrote a story on it that appeared in aviation news last year.

Sorry to be a rivet counter but one has an inline and the other has a rotary ? However a Fokker DIV it is , there does not seem to be much info about these . Were they used in quantity ? And what made you choose to build this one ?

Good point on the engines. I prefer the rotary actually. Still, that looks like another nice addition to the collection.

The German Aif Force were the first airfroce to embrace the inline engines for there fighters They were heavier but also allowed airframes to be more steamlined and were more reliable than the rotaries. The D IV also has an interesting dorsal fin and itf it was removed it would have an almost identical rudder to a DR.1

The two aircraft are not the same , as well as engines there is the fact that one has a two bay wing and the lack of fin on the rotary engined one . The cabine strut arrangement is also different . Is the rotary engined one possibly a Fokker DVI .
