Nothing beats a couple of hours at the airport watching aviation take place.Every now and then something interesting flies past. According to my trusty journalists aeroplane recognition chart there is no doubt this is a Cessna,and judging by the smell of kerosene its a turbo prop and it has an 'N' number so it must be American. Other than that there wasn't much else in the air other than an impressive display of Cirrus cloud as the incoming high front pushed the cold front off the country.

N526CH is a Cessna P210N Silver Eagle with an owner in Texas. It's been in New Zealand since 2013 and sometime before it arrived it was fitted with a helicopter engine.
