I remember a few years ago a private aircraft went storming through a number of MBZs and CFZs scattering planes in all directions. When the local CFI went to have a chat to them after landing they found them flying with a map that was many years old, possibly as many as 10, and with completely different airspace on it. Simply not good enough.

Airways staff have been out and about explaining the changes to local pilots in areas with significant change. The turnout at the Waikato Aero Club was a good cross section of the aviation community. Hopefully the word has spread and problems will be few. The focus seems to be on reducing the amount of talking that ATC staff do on the radio by getting aircraft in and out of controlled airspace quicker. We'll see how it turns out in practice.
