Below is the design that the RNZAF Museum originally planned and publicised when money began to be raised for a new building. They already occupied No. 7 Hangar at Wigram, and I'm noit sure but they may have had half of No. 6 Hangar by then too, and this design would have seen a building erected between the two WWII hangars and connect them. Of course later the plan was changed (thankfully, it would have been a nightmare controlling the public wandering around the middle of the operational base under this plan).

god, thats old. I am pretty sure i remember seeing that when i was at wigram in the early 80's Was there today as the mrs is starting a course at the end of the month

yes, the southern institute zero fees i saw signs today pointing to motorbody shop, people were playing builders, she is doing computing, from that image you posted, where the new part was going to be, between 6 and 7 hangar, there now is a pile of brand new tractors. I had the camera with me. I should take some images of the housing going on . actually, if you type in maps under google search you can zoom in on the place.

Yeah the tractors belong to some farming college there apparently. I didn't realise there was other kinds of learning going on there though.
