Don,
Is the date correct?
489 Sqn ORB 14th May 1944: 12 Aircraft, 'A' (F.L. T.H.Davsidson leading), 'G' 'H' 'W' 'K' 'Z' carrying torpedos and 'P' 'B' 'F' 'L' 'V' 'Y' anti flak. Attacked a convoy of 6 M/V's and 17 E/V's. Two M/V's were probably hit by torpedos and several E/V's were shot up with cannon. Aircraft 'B' (F.O. I.A. Pettitt and F.O. C.H.Lowcock) did not return. 15th May 1944: 4 Aircraft on Recces on Dutch coast.
No 'U' in the attack but if you give me the letter you want to use I will confirm serial number.
Cheers Peter

Thanks for that (DAM) Do you know which of the aircraft above had the long air intakes like "U" as it would be easy to just change the letter than the whole painting. In the "book Strike and Strike again" they said there was only a total of 9 ships? Sorry the was Date was 15th July 1944

Hi Don, I am glad you found the 'U' because I have no knowledge about which Beaufighters had long air intakes.
