Does pic #6 show some sort of STOL version? The strip looks wonderfully wide but very short (To quote and old airline radio speak joke line).
(Yes, I know the Spitfire must have been operating on the grass but it looks funny.)

Great photos guys, they make up for not having been there to see it in person after following all the updates on the website - couldn't get the time off work. Looking forward to seeing the mossie fly Cheers, Stu.

That's a real shame you couldn't be there Stu. After all the work you've done on bringing us all updates too.

That's a real shame you couldn't be there Stu. After all the work you've done on bringing us all updates too. All in all, it feels a bit like I've fallen off the face of the planet over the last few months aviation-wise through a combination of being flat out and then injured - and consequently flat out in a more literal way. Important lesson - if you've had a herniated disk in your back you need to take it easy for 3 to 6 months after you come right - a minor detail the specialist never told me back in July. Using a chainsaw for 3 days in a row (among many other similar activities) is therefore on the do not do list. Mind you, the side of the house now gets a lot more sunlight, I wasn't on morphine as long this time and I should be able to get back flying in a couple of weeks. Cheers, Stu.
