Our day started with a dawn parade at SAS HQ Papakura, to lay a wreath on behalf of the Special Duyu Squadrons of the RAF. A very bemedalled crowd with new Defence Minister Johnathon Coleman. The service started with a wake up Parachute flare, stun grenade effects and a very impressive petrol bomb. The memorial guard arose fromo the background like ghosts. Sorry no photos of people. Thanks for a beautiful service and great breakfast. There wasn't much coffee in the hot rum. I hope others will post their Anzac Day shots.

Isn't Mark Mitchell the new Minister of Defence?

TV 1 news at 6, Wellington had a fly past of aircraft from the RAF(?). Went to the parade at Darfield, good crowd, maybe not quite as many as last year, 300/400, no Army this year, normally there is a saluting party.

Yes - I wasn't aware we had been blessed with a visit from an RAF display team!

So from all this can we assume that the GHOST plane at Rongotai recently called in to arrange for the Red Arrows to safely negotiate the Tasman Sea...
